Wow no pic?
I wish all members will have a picture in their profile…It would be nice to see who you are chatting with. I lost my trust in the net before and now trying to trust it again….it would be nice to know friends from afar but at least have an idea of how they look like…not that’s its important but I find it more secure and effective when you have an idea who you are talking with…it would be nice to see the faces of your friends …it makes it as if they’re near and yet they’re not…..hope it’s not too much to ask for? I really wish to meet friends from all over the world…so interesting!

precyxoxo, profile pictures are totally optional. Some members chose to post the others do not. But I have many many friends who’s faces I have never seen. Trust is not built on a photograph but on getting to know the person. Please know that we do everything we can to make this a safe site so that ALL members will feel safe and secure. I know you will have many friends here. We are glad you are back.

I think also it takes some time before people are comfortable putting their photographs up. I was a member for three months before mine went up…I think if new folk think it is a ‘must’ to post a photograph they will feel a pressure that is not what SC is all about. And nice to meet you Precy.:)

Just one more perspective, many are not computer literate and do not know how to upload a picture. Someone befriended me yesterday who was like that and needed help to navigate.
While a picture can speak 1000 words, it really does not tell us anything about a person or even if it is really a picture of the person we are speaking to. It is a very tricky world out there these days. Just move slowly and always be on guard just in case………xx
some who have something else as their profile pics have actual pics of themselves in their albums i find? maybe if you are friends with someone without a profile pic have a look and see in their album hun… 🙂 🙂
Also some that show a picture may not be that person at all. Just FYI.
