Hello, Looking to meet new friends here. Famous last words of my therapist ! There’s an entire world of people who I haven’t met yet and would like to; especially in person ! How is it that making friends becomes more difficult now with all this technology? Everyone in the neighborhood here are behind closed doors ! That was not ever the case when we were much younger.

Yes I agree its sad thats lots of lonely people pass one another in the street. I find a smile is usually returned and can open up a quick chat. But developing real friendships for me takes time. Shared experience and alot of give and take. Im blessed to have a few really good friends going back several years. Im reminded of an old campfire song. ‘Make new friends

Then there are online friends. Harder to quantify. Sunshine, laughter, a breath of fresh air, an anonymous place to dump stuff we dont want to burden our ‘real people’ with. Actually better than that ‘in person stuff’ sometimes. I feel blessed to have both. I hope you find some like minded people on both sides.
Yep…as Tjay says as well, this online community we have is a great resource for making online friends, although there’s little chance of actually meeting people in real life on here but that’s not what it’s designed for anyway. So while it’s not a replacement for friends you have in the outside world, it is a nice addition to that. Hopefully you’ll find this an alternative way of making friends as well as a safe haven too.
