One might think that,, since in the past, we were remiss in not recognizing all these “genders” that with these new “freedoms” there would be more “peace” in the world.
Hi AQUAJOHN……oh I could go on and on about this…kids being brought up not being given the title of girl or boy, male or female…let them make their own mind up when they are older is the modern way of thinking………people wanting to change sex…now I am of the belief that people can genuinely be born in the wrong bodies due to a freak of nature…….transgender..transsexuals, transvestites…its a mine field……not to forget the LGBT rights…..
Please do go on and on about this, Starlette, cause as an old coot and recluse I read this stuff and have no idea of what all these variants have in mind for their mate. I’m just curious as I’m no longer in the mating game.
The fact that some parents are getting involved in officially changing their infant childs sex designation is IMO a horrible part of this mess.
Is it possible for a human being to feel trapped within a false body? Why not. I do not judge the right or wrong of others nor is it important to me who prefers whom.
Aqua, the world is changing fast the ball is rolling. Trying to make heads or tails of it will surely cause you a very big headache. Take it from another old coot, shake your head, laugh and have a drink. That’s more productive
It is none of my business what adults do with and to each other agreeably. Curiosity as to which sex each of these variations are interested in mating. Male and female is easy to understand. For me the great mixture of gender terms is confusing to say the least.
Just an old coot trying to understand a world that has changed so much.
AJ, you did not mention the gender-neutral, the binary to name two more varieties. It is the age of confusion. Where adults are concerned I shake my head and say……..whatever! So long as they are not hurting other people, it is their business. This confusion can be a genuine medical problem but there are so much of this these days I do wonder if it is a weird way to seem ‘cool’ for many of those who self diagnose. That is ok by me if as I say you don’t use it to hurt others, adults can live as they wish. I do feel uneasy when children are concerned, should we ask 4yr. old kids if they want to be a girl or a boy? By asking such questions we are forcing very young to make decisions that could impact their entire lives. I don’t know and I don’t think there has been enough research. Otherwise, leave people to decide, I do think it it is kind of sad if you do not know or are uncertain what, who you are.
Then I do have my ‘outside the box’ thoughts on the matter. It has crossed my mind that this sexual confusion could be nature attempting to control the population growth. There is the thought that the blurring of the sexual stereotypes could deal with the inequalities that still exist between males and females.
Enjoy the variety in life, change and the difference is life.
To answer your last sentence, I can’t enjoy what I don’t understand, BUT, thanks to all for responses.

one old coot to another. people will be as people are. Be secure in yourself and most important enjoy your old cootness as I do. Then have a beer or a cup of coffee. Have a very nice day or night.
Good advice Happy. I find old age not so bad but the world sure is different than when I was active.
