WHY IS THE SITE SO QUIET?
I am wondering why there are never many people on this site now? When I joined several years ago, it was very busy all of the time, now as now there are only two people on line here.I never have been a chatroom follower, I tried it when I first joined, but there were so many people in and out of there, it was all hi’s and bye’s to me.I did venture into the Chill Out a few times where we could have a one on one chat. I do however like the blog page , and reading about the activity.Has anyone have any ideas as to how to improve the site?After reading a blog this morning, I think the bickering must stop as that will put lots of people off.Try to sort things out between yourselves instead of making a show of it.Well that is my two penorth’ Thank you

I just joined the site yesterday because I have been unable to find a senior chat that didn’t expect me to pay to send messages. So far, I’ve just plaued the quiz room because there hasn’t been anyone available to chat. I am hopeful things will improve because I like the site and hope to hear from other people. Hi Tania. I do enjoy logging into the site but a job change just over a year ago seems to limit my availability on here. That’s fine in a sense because I used to have time on my hands I needed to fill when no one was home and a chat room seemed to be the solution. However these days I am now usually home when somebody else is here as well, so using a chat room seems less necessary than before, but I do login when I can, usually a few times each week. I enjoy Senior Chatters because it is well regulated, behavior is good (generally – but people are ‘people’ of course) and very good value for money. It would be even better if it was busier, yes, and I’d definitely be available online a lot more if there was an ‘app’ version for mobiles so that I didn’t need to open up a browser page each time because this tends to be unreliable and unrealistic if I’m away from the house. However I’m generally very pleased and I hope SC continues indefinitely so that I can have more use of it in the years to come.
Hi dj , thank you for your reply. I have been on this site around 20years now, I have always been very happy with the site.It did used to be a very busy site as I have said. I also hope the site continues for a lot of years yet,
Hi Tania. I loved the Chat Room when I first joined a few years ago when the Site was mainly all Chat. I made wonderful friendships, but when the Site changed and apparently there was a lot of nastiness in the Chat Room, some of the old members left, unfortunately. I never encountered any nastiness when I was in the Chat Room, and I find this type of behaviour disgusting in a Senior Site. I post in a few Groups and often don’t get the time to go into Chat. I love listening to the Music, but don’t always get the time to do that as well, as well as reading Blogs. I also have medical appointments that take up some of my time. BUT I come into SC as often as I can and love the Site, and hope it continues for many many years to come.
Hi, FEY, yes you are one of the older site members like me, there never used to be so much nastiness.I just come on when I have time to post something, then go I do not enter the chat rooms now….long may the site last as it has always been good.
Methinks you are right Tania I visit the site the site at least twice daily, but have to agree with you. Things do not seem as they once were
