Where Ignorance Is Bliss
I have spent my life learning and teaching and counseling. I have also been shunned by many who were distressed and it took me many years to understand and accept that but, “Where ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise”.
” Since sorrow never comes too late
And happiness too swiftly flies?
Thought would destroy their Paradise.
No more;—where ignorance is bliss,
‘Tis folly to be wise.:
Poets that seem immortal, are always wiser and more profound than others and though I might not be as wise as they are, I can understand wisdom when I find it. Another great person, Marting Luther King, said, “It is never too late to do the right thing” I always use this to boost my belief that this and “better late than never” works. I find delight in learning, and yet, some learning has to be sorted and ignored.
I read, I study, and am delighted that I glean answer to my life struggles, then a bit sad that I did not learn it sooner. I still have messages to share with others, even though some “Will kill the messenger”.

I’m honestly not sure how to answer that Rose so please forgive me.
Larry, I like all your answers because they are real and true and so is this one. No reason to be sorry.
I definitely agree that ignorance is bliss much of the time. And I didnt know the rest of the verse. So thankyou for that. The trouble is ignorance is only bliss, when you dont know, you dont know. When you do know, you dont know, it can be very uncomfortable.
Good answer and that may be the real difference. I agree but it may be more complicated.
