what’s happening?
I am relatively new to this site. Only been here since the Christmas holidays. But I have noticed a few things that have me puzzled. Members, highly thought of, are squabbling amongst themselves. Others leaving suddenly. Blogs disappearing before our eyes. It has taken on the appearance of a war zone, with the armies on either side amassing. It is not a win-win situation. In my eyes I see only loss. Good voices silenced. Awesome thoughts thrown to the wayside. And friendships unraveling.
In this day and age we must struggle daily to keep honor and dignity alive. It is hard enough to do in the “real” world, in our daily lives. Now it seems the struggle has come here as well. One of the reasons I joined this site was that all voices would be heard. Without judgment or condemnation. So long as we abided by a few simple rules. Rules that made sense.
I still love this site and don’t have any intention of leaving. But I am not so certain as to the future if things can’t be turned around before it is too late. Let us resolve the issues at hand as adults. Like the intelligent adults that we all are. With honor and dignity. And maybe a little love and compassion.

Well I have only been here four months but I have yet to see any real angst between members in the Chat Room, I’ve only witnessed support, compassion and genuine empathy and a heck of a lot of laugher and fun.
Of course there are going to be those that simply do not get along for all sorts of reasons which makes neither parties wrong or bad or anything else negative, it’s just fact that we just can’t get on with everyone and some people are simply not going to gel with us also for various reasons.
I see a lot of negative comments about SC and that will put people off. I am not saying that people do not have very genuine complaints but I think you will find some negatives in any Chat Room or Forum.
I trust Admin to make sure that the rules are followed and it’s a bit like getting fined for speeding and then complaining about it, my point is don’t speed and you won’t get fined, so like here don’t break the terms of service and you won’t get any negative consequences…
I love this place, warts and all. I love the diversity, the different opinions and views , even the folk that I might not feel ‘drawn to’ are what make this place work…just my views on this subject.

One person has left, and I feel very sorry about that. But I cant bring them back. Very sad, but its not worth crying over.
All I can do is go back to being positive and happy and move on.
