Today and this wonderful book “Choose Joy” by Kay Warren

Today and this wonderful book

Just finished reading an awesome book written by Kay Warren called “I choose joy” and I needed it now, as I have been dealing with a situation that has me confused and a bit hurt. But her book really helped me understand that despite our circumstances we can and should choose the joy Jesus died to leave us. At this stage in live when the time left is so much shorter than the time I have already lived I do not want to waste one minute suffering from things I have no control over and do choose joy. I am so blessed to live in a place that I can walk and feel safe, and that I have good caring neighbors even if some of them are a bit weird, heck we all get a little fruity sometimes. I have a loving family and friends who care about me. At 70 years young I am healthier than many my age and don’t look or act my 70, which sometimes can be a disadvantage because no one ever considers I may need some help doing things, but most of the time I don’t and I manage.
I don’t have everything I want, but who does, I have all I need.

God bless Kay Warren for reminding me of what is really important with this book

  1. Many have been through far too many ups and downs…lol something we are not taught to expect. I always feel that one has to have a few downs to appreciate the ups.

However, some are blessed with the ability to put things in to words to give many the hope and to appreciate the wonders of life. At times it can be daunting and difficult to appreciate what we are given.

Like a marriage…living takes a bit of work..

  2. Absolutely! God is great, God is good, giving thanks in prayer as well I should. Happiness is a choice, not a circumstance. Smile for no reason and soon you have your reason, as there are many.
