To “Toot or not to “Toot”

It appears I wrote this awhile ago and forgot to post it. So …..here it goes.

To” Toot” or not to” Toot” , is the question. Maybe some will say “TUT” after reading this. hahahaha
I have been ask to write another blog by a few chatters, since some people found my last blog funny. I wonder if I just “tooted” ?? hahahaha
While I was in the chat room, we were having a discussion about “Tooting Ones Own Horn.”
I went in search of a good definition. I remember Wanda reminded me that Google knows it all!! 🙂
This is what I found from google:

The phrase “toot your own horn” means to boast, to praise yourself. This is often considered to be immodest. The phrase originated in the Bible in Matthew 6: 1-4 (KJV) Jesus teaches us to seek our reward/ acknowledgement of good works from God rather than mankind, including ourselves.

So, once again I found myself pondering, why do people toot their own horns? Are they afraid no one else will toot it for them?? lol
Or, are they so insecure that somehow by “tooting” , it makes them feel accepted?
Some people , are not even aware they toot?
Then of course some people will think “tooting” has to do with eating too many beans! hahahahahaha I know the English love their beans on Toast… 😉
I wondered again, Do men “toot” more? Is “tweeting a form of “tooting”? Do people like “tooters”?
Maybe if you are truly happy with yourself, you will not feel the need to “toot”?
Or as some will say, they will “toot” to their hearts content!! 😉
Feel free to add to the many “toots” here…… lol

Cheers from your Boston ( Beantown) Passy 🙂 😉 🙂

  1. Anything I would add to this would be considered tooting my own horn and when you have no need to toot your own horn, like moi,( because everyone knows, of course, how special I am already)you simply can not comment on this subject.

  3. I knew cath wouldn’t resist! Cath you a sweetheart so pay me no mind. Just remain being a TUT LOL.
Anyway, on a serious note, I’m not one for tooting because it’s much more gratifying to hear someone else toot me than me. Don’t ask me to repeat that lol. I can’t speak for women but if I hear
a man tooting it shows a need to be noticed and therefore a weakness. I knew a guy long time ago who thrived on praising himself. He was a major tooter! He never married for some reason :S
