Still can’t get it right.

I’ve been sleeping every night for almost 80 years, so you figure I might be pretty good at doing it, with all that experience. But for some reason, going to sleep, and staying asleep seems to be a problem. At 10 PM, I can barely keep my eyes open, but from 12-4AM, I’m like the Energizer Bunny-full of pep and energy. I always was a night owl.

Also got my pre-paid cremation all settled. It was a little creepy driving up to the covered doors of the funeral home. But surprisingly, it wasn’t disturbing once I got all the paperwork done. I got a “everything is settled” feeling.

  1. Well done sorting out your final plans, thats huge. Sleep is such a mystery. The only good side is being able to sleep in. No alarm clocks and afternoon naps are ok. But that doesn’t help the old sleep pattern. I guess being single you can turn the light on and read a book. My trouble is I get too much sleep. So Ive often had my allowance by 4am. You say we have had plenty of practice but how many different patterns have we had over the years.I was a shift worker for decades. Good luck.

  2. I’m not sure if I ever remember actually getting proper good sleep regularly. On the odd night or two yes, but on the whole it’s usually a bit on and off. Better since I stopped work though. I can usually be fairly sure of having around six hours a night, give or take and hour.

  3. I have a hard time getting to sleep I do wake up sometimes at 2:00 in the morning, but I’m anything but energized.
It is creepy going to get someone’s ashes or planning for your own which I have done both.
