Something is amiss..
As I’m writing this, I notice that there are 17 of you active on this site…and only 8 (including those in the game room) in chat. Now, I realize that some of you are contributing to the various groups you belong to, and some are in private chat..what about the rest of you? Have things in the Lobby really become that bad…yes I know, I’ve been quite vocal lately about the problems the site has been having, but hey I still come back! My days may be numbered on this site anyway, as my membership expires February 14th, 2014, and since I can’t afford the fees, my only hope is an anonymous sponsor..barring that..good bye Senior Chatters! But I digress…time zones not withstanding…why have a lot of you abandoned the Lobby..the majority of us are decent folk…we don’t bite! It’s still on of the best chats around…or is it that most of you just don’t give a d*** anymore?

Yes Val it does seem to be quiet at the moment….I find that at this time of year I am busier…..maybe others are too….but I love to come in…..thing is……the site is the people…..so if there are problems with the site……then it’s the people……maybe…. they expect too much….I don’t know…..Rob does a good job I think…..providing chat….groups….etc…..it’s up to us to make it work…..most of my friends still seem to be here……lotsa love xxxxxxxx M

I’m in there most evenings for a while at least. I do log on during the day while at work if I get a slack moment, but I confine myself to blogs and groups as I cannot get tied up in the chat when I may have to leave at a second’s notice.
I too have noticed there seems to be a reduced number in the chat room at certain times, but the place is bulging at others. I think Morvenna may be right. Christmas takes people off to get involved in various things.
The percentage of logged on to in the chat room has, form my perception at least, not changed that greatly over the time I’ve been with the site.
There will always be people who prefer the slower pace of the blogs or groups, where they can think out replies and make sure spelling etc. are correct instead of reacting immediately and I think that if that is their choice, then so be it.
I have rarely logged in and found the chat completely empty, and on those odd occasions where I have I have found that if I go into the rooms it isn’t long before someone joins me.

I agree with Way and Morv. I know for me this time of the year is hectic coupled with work. I dont go in chat much, not because I’m not social but because I don’t sit at the computer for any one long period. It’s pretty much the same every year where the site slows during the holidays. People are so busy. I remember someone blogging a while back how they didn’t go in chat because there were too many people in chat lol. Now there’s not enough for some. Oh well maybe Rob can fix it lol. I’m just kidding but we can’t all be everything all the time to everyone. I take the site for what it is and nothing more. Rob has created a great site and he has some awesome staff here to assist keeping it that way. If anyone ever doubts what a great site SC is, just visit some of the other so called senior chat sites. Just my 2cents. “J”

nice blog val but as u know i am busy elsewheres but av seen me go into chat in uks wee small hours depending on who is in i wont say anything about why i dont go in earlier as it was said i complain too much lolol i do have good enough reason why i do, am trying to change that anyway back to my original reason am in the middle of learning new singing material for the bars i cant stick to the same old stuff all the time and only place i learn that is in pal although in my local i only walk in the door and my name is called and my usual tune is set up lolol and yes i still have real friends in here gr8 to see u all still participating way, jsmile, kate, morv and all the others

Well it will always say I am active as I am logged into this site at all times on my mobile phone. I can get messages that way. I dont have time to go into chat half as much as I used to. But when I do I enjoy it. Merry Christmas to everyone
