SC Blogs, Old Dogs, and Edit Issues

I love our new sc blog writing Changes and I love adding pics to the blog. One reason I started writing blogs was to enhance and practice my writing skills. Now I have learned the power of Keyword rich, and other good tips. I only want to write what people want to read, but sometimes I miss the mark, but most of the time I get a good discussion going or at least a few people enjoy what I have written. I got the rules down and I will continue to work on style and substance and appropriate topics

Hooray and Hallelujah, I think I have mastered the technical aspects of writing a blog on this Senior Chatters Website. Hardest one was “edit” and the scariest. I was afraid I would get a scandalous or unflattering pic on and not get it off, but I now can “edit”. Wheeee. I go to Home Page, Go to Blogs at top, Hover over “Blogs” then hover over “read blogs” and out pops, “my latest blog posts”. Click and go to edit blogs page and click on “edit” way to right. Now you can Remove unflattering, or scandalous pics and other mistakes of lesser horror. Keep trying. rest and try again.

I put this in here, because one member’s hovering wings got exhausted. I didn’t hover long but went all over this blog site with strong statements and pleas for help. My harsh statements were just ignored, but my pleas for help were answered patiently and again and again. That’s what I did, and I was ashamed of myself and I hope to be calm next time, but I doubt that I will. It is no fun being jerked out of your comfort zone, but technological changes are here to stay. I can say that I have actually helped in building this website and several of us, ordinary members, have. I guess I should have remembered, we all work together with the site MAIN MAN until we are all happy again. It is an arduous PROCESS.

Oh happy day, I just discovered how to increase the size of my type when writing a blog. I increased it by 50% to 150% and now I can actually see as I type. What joy! Now I am not sure what size will appear on the final blog page, but I will just have to discover that.Oh my, if it is huge, bear with me, please. Oh joy, I am editing and think I have readjusted my type size back to 110%. I think I and you all will like that better.

Dear members and friends, how LONG do you think it will be before we get new tech changes to master, new goodies to use, and some more tips? I will be crying and trying again, but this old dog will learn new tricks. Just rest your hovering wings, and take the blood pressure meds or other essential remedies, and fasten your seatbelts, so you don’t hit the ceiling, AND clear your appointments for several days; until changes are mastered. You will be so happy and pleased with yourself and the dementia will still be undiagnosed.

I am pleased as punch with my cute pic up there and all that I have mastered.

  1. I would suggest that you write what you want to write and bother not at all with what others may like or dislike. After all it’s your blog, not theirs.

As regards the tech side, which you seem to have mastered, I now know who to go to when I hit problems, lol

  2. Rose, Write what you wish. The blog you think some may not like may be the very one they do. Besides, their yours. Don’t concern yourself with what others may like. It’s members like you who contribute so much that makes the site what it is. One of my favorite things is to read blogs. I learn so much and most are entertaining. Thank you for your contribution. I may not agree with all but I really enjoy what you post. As far as the technical aspect, well I’m with you. With technology moving at the speed it does who can really keep up anyway? I’m glad we live in such an advanced age. Remember when you wrote blogs and had to mail them to the newspaper lol? Blog away Rose. You’re great. “J”

  4. I really enjoy your blogs Rose. You are an inspiration to me. I should not care so much what others think. We are who we are. Keep blogging away and don’t look back ! That goes for all bloggers.
