Personalised Friendship Requests

Hi Chatters, you know I said in my Christmas email yesterday that I had a few things to share with you in the New Year?  Well, I couldn’t wait, so here’s one of them right now… 🙂

Introducing Personalised Friendship Requests…

In short, whenever you request a friendship now using the ‘Add Friend’ button on the Members page you will be able to personalise your message – YAY!  Here’s a quick walk-through to get you started…

1) click on the ‘Members’ link at the top of any page and then click on the ‘Add Friend’ button of any members you wish to become friends with.

2) When you now click on the ‘Add Friend’ Button a new window will now open allowing you to craft your very own introductory message.  As show above

3) A Confirmation box will appear once you have clicked on the ‘Send Request’ button

4) Your personalised friendship request is then displayed to the member you requested friendship from

Side Note…

If you prefer not to send a personalised friendship message then you can still do so, simply by requesting friendships via the profile bubble instead. As always I’d be interested to know what you think?

    Hi Rob,

    I think this new feature is a brilliant idea, thanks. Now if we could just keep the Private Chat from acting up, I’d really be a happy camper! Keep trying, okay? It’s not just me, we’re all having trouble with the cursor sticking, and parts of the conversation not posting.

    Thank you for all you do Rob. Nice improvement. I am with Normij about the site acting up in private chat. My screen flickers and freezes. Please say it is the site and not the user….lol

    hi rob, didnt see the christmas e mail,however may be my fault been busy as has everyone this time of the year, think thats a great idea Rob, the new friendship request idea, some of us have more of an interest in catergories than others and can discuss similar interests without scrolling through all the blogs and groups, great idea. thanks for all you do for we chatters. Have a very Happy Christmas and a great New Year.2012.xx
