Old Man from Tennessee Here

I just joined this little gang of seniors yesterday. I figured it might help me to feel connected to the world just a little bit, and a little bit is all I want at this stage of life. People tend to suck all the energy out of my life if I let them. At least online I can moderate the connection, and not be overwhelmed with drama. Not that you folks are drama-oriented, but people these days can go to extremes to get offended. At least it is that way here in the United States.  Everybody is too damned opinionated and too little moderated in their reactions.  Anyway, that’s my rant for the day.  Nice to meet you folks.  Happy Trails.

  1. This does sound like it’s the perfect place for you. Drama? Leave it at the door…ha ha! No politics or religion either. We interact in a warm and friendly way, try to make each other laugh and have some fun sharing interests and experiences. As little or as much as you want, it’s entirely flexible. We have members who appear after weeks or months away from the keyboard (even years in some cases) and it’s always nice to see them again. Then we also have those who make daily appearances (guilty! Ha ha!) having become slightly hooked on the friendliness here. I feel sure you will enjoy it.

  2. I’m in the US too, across the country from you in Washington State. Welcome! It’s a great place to connect without all the goings on of the strange goings on of the world. I’m a recent joiner and am so appreciating a place to go to find a little connection.
