Kitchen reno pain and strain and then joy

I am so excited I had to blog and post pictures in my album of my new kitchen. I got my water connected today and have a functioning kitchen after 7 weeks of no kitchen at all. Today I got my new faucet and it is magical because I just wave back and forth to get water on and off. I posted about beginning a total kitchen remodel. I only did this project because the old kitchen was a mess and a depression house that had add ons and no real update. Doing this kitchen caused excruciating concern over costs and a brain strain to make the myriad of choices necessary and I juggled between what I wanted and what was worth the money. However, now I am getting into the joy phase of being so happy with all of it and not regretting any of the choices I made which was my goal. The kitchen looks just like it belongs to the rest of the house, but is the best part of the home now. If the kitchen is the heart of the home, my kitchen sustains body and spirit and I can hardly wait to get cooking.

    1. I was so worried about that granite. It took a leap of faith and I have to give most of the credit to the kitchen designer, but naturally I made a lot of choices, but she kept me from making bad choices.
