Independence versus interdependence

Independence versus interdepence is the primoral human dilemma.Do not ever think that it is not a force to be reconciled and compromises are always necessary. Nether party is ever completely satisfied; neither ever, ever, and never. I lament, bewail, and bemoan this fact and wish it it were otherwise, but that is silly and will not happen.
In all our dealings with another person our happiness depends on our success in resolving the issue and being satisfied with our bargain. An infant is born knowing this can acting accordingly and can make a bargain with the first beathe. The infant screams and moans and wails according to need and looks and acts adoring otherwise. As we grow, we need to remember instead of forget this. We need to gain skills as aour abilities and capacities increase and adjust accordingly. If all we have left are screams or adoring gazes, we need to give them in abundance.
When any two parties make a bargain , both parties share the sucess or they share the failure.
We all need to know that we are in a constant state of renegotiations. It sounds like effort and I don’t want it or like it, but I need to accept it and “get over it” and so do all humans.

  1. Very true Rose, guess we all do it to some degree – some to a great degree others to a lesser. Guess you could say it is the basis for all relationships including friendships. Good food for thought! HS xx
