I KNOW A MAN.

Yes I know this man and have known him for seventy plus years. You see we have been friends from long ago, thru thick and thin they say.

My friend at his mid years in life became sick and went through thirteen years of heart related illness and several open heart surgeries, but I was with him even thru life or death.

At some point his heart said no more and my friend had to have a new heart.

So it went, put on a transplant list and finally the day came and the transition from bad heart to good heart was completed.

He was comatosed for eight days and awoke and thought his name was Sam.

He still thinks of Sam twenty plus years later and thanks Sam daily and talks to him or her as maybe Sam was Samantha. Anyhow he is doing well and is happy to be alive.

You see I know him very well because I am that man!

  1. That’s intriguing Tania….glad you made a friend in Tom and knew his story……..now we know the brain rules the body to some degree…….but the heart, now there’s a thing, a mystery, we have heartache, heartbreak…..its said people die of a broken heart….is it a separate entity in some way in the emotions it feels……….now c’mon Tania you didn’t really expect a simple comment from me……ok…. maybe its just for pumping the Red stuff around our bodies……actually it isn’t Red until it meets the air……we are all truly Blue blooded…..Royalty or what…..

    1. Well Star, I was a friend of Tom’s for years, he was a happily married man , from the Hills of Tennesee, he used to send me all sorts of thoughts to post, but this really was his story….I do believe that some people do die of broken hearts…the heart will always be a mystery to me……
