We gota keep up with the times debz ………….but ohhhhhhhhhh how i wish i could understand my grandaughters text messages ………….its a diffrent language lol x
lol rosh, now I am needing help for sure with the technology on Candy Crush, Farmville and Pengle, I’ve been stuck on the same level for ages lol!!!!!!! xx
Me too Deb, but I admit to remain technology challenged. I can hardly manage my new Kindle Fire HD Christmas gift, but I try. Many of these things are what I used to watch on Star Trek! OMG, beam me up Scotty!!! I am ready, let’s go…where no man has gone before. LOL Helen xxxx
The only thing I have troyble with is remote TV Controls, what on earth are they are all used for??….ahh haa maybe beam me up Deb!!!! xx
Im with you on all these remotes Deb….I just upgraded from a flip phone to the smartphone and I am still looking for the darn dial pad lol 🙂
I’m with you, Helen… I, too am somewhat technology challenged with the new phone and computer. Still learning how to use both. I seem to be losing my touch with computers… this new one is so difficult for me to learn.
On behalf of disabled citizens everywhere Debs, THANK YOU! I still remember back when the United Nations declared it THE YEAR OF THE HANDICAPPED – oh my, what a difference that made to us. It became compulsory for buildings with steps to have ramps for the handicapped, there was handicapped seating on buses, lifts/elevators where there had only been steps before – and so things improved tremendously for the disabled.
Motorized mobility scooters were created and what a blessing they are. So are walkers, canes and other walking aids.
I feel blessed to be living in this era where being handicapped isn’t really a handicap.
Thanks for writing about this. JoJo xxx
I know it make you wonder way back how people coped, I had a ‘go’ on a mobility scooter to enable me to see the difficulties encountered by the users, Oh my goodness I almost reversed back into a door, a lot more difficult to control than I imagined, the controls blew me away, I decided in the end I was to much of a danger, and admired those who are able to control them and making it looks so easy, now a mobile phone I’m a whizz on!!!
xx
I too have difficulty, but struggle on with the help of my two boys.
As for Star Treck. Why couldn’t our boffins have picked up on something really useful……like a transporter or a food replicator? lol
^^ I’m right now using my TV remote in hope to be zapped and transported (someplace warm, sunny and by the sea will be ok) lol x
