  1. One of my great loves is to just drive around. These days I often wear compression gloves (made from lycra) to stop pain and cramps when holding the steering wheel. They actually do work, really well too!

  2. I just love compression gloves while using my computer. They make typing a lot more comfortable! I put hand cream on first to soothe the arthritis and keep my skin from turning into sandpaper, and then on go the gloves LOL

    1. I am in Maryland too close to DC LOL I used to knit, crochet, spin, and tat! all the time but arthritis is making it more difficult now – I have knit dozens of pairs of socks for friends, and some for me as well, as well as scarves, hats. mittens, and a shawl or two 🙂 I would so like to get back to my knitting! woodworking sounds really cool 🙂 What sorts of things do you like to make?

      1. My husband and I made toy dump trucks that would dump, semi’s, with enclosed and flatbed trailers that came off like a real semi. The flat beds we put dowels on them to look like logs and put little nails on the sides so we could put rubber bands across them to hold them in place. Also John Deere tractors with a hay wagon and baby doll cradles. We had so much fun making them. We also personalized them by putting the childs first name on the front plate and last name on the back or just their last name on the side with trucking like White’s trucking. Then the cradles I painted the childs name and put Anastasia’s babies. The kids loved them.

        1. Oh wow, that sounds so involved and personalized – I bet some of those items will become heirlooms! How awesome! I am no good with sharp edges or knives even – they make me way nervous? LOL don’t ask me why, cos I have never had a major incident with one. But miles of yarn have moved through my hands – LOL got some grip trainers now and hoping my hands will stop cramping and going on so I can knit again!

          1. My mom had the same issues. She made some beautiful things. I hope I don’t have that issue. I really enjoy crocheting now. My mom made us learn to crochet, knit and sew. I hated it when I was younger but love it now. I would be lost without it to keep my mind busy
