Favorite TV Programs

A friend and I were chatting and discovered we shared a love for a particular show on TV. That got me to thinking …yes, I know that’s hard to believe…just what TV shows are being watched by all of us. Comedy, drama, talent, reality. Whatever. What one show can YOU not live without? Or if no current programs suit your fancy, what show from the past held you enthralled week after week? Share your television taste with us.

Okay, I’ll confess…my guilty pleasure is The Big Bang Theory. Now it is your turn.

  1. We all have our own tastes in TV viewing…must admit mine is anything that contains singing, dancing etc… they can be dreadful, but I might, just might hear/see something that stays with me..sadly the “judges” for these shows really do p*** me off!!! lol… this could be a very interesting blog and I look forward to reading the TV “Pleasures” of other chatters….xxxxx

  2. I have to say it……..I watch the 3 main soaps, Corrie, Eastenders and Emmerdale, always have, always will, now though I have to record them and watch in daytime, when Grandkids are in school. We watch Big bang together over Dinner!! I also like Arrow too, paddy. Love CSI and Criminal Minds.
    Saturdays has to be Doctor Who but I must say I lose the plot sometimes since david Tennant went.
    I would like to watch Dancing on Ice but start to feel seasick as the camera angle changes too much.
    Casualty and Holby city are a must too for me.
    There is a program in the USA called The Amazing race, we download and watch, it is now on the 22 series. It would be a show that the British public , I’m sure would enjoy. better than some of the rubbish that is on now.
    I always liked Only fools and Horses, the Brittis Empire, One foot in the grave and Keeping up appearances. One show I really did enjoy was Gavin and Stacey.

  3. I do admit to watching Eastenders, I think because it shows my life really isn’t that bad lol. I also enjoyed Sharpe, more for Sean Bean than the army tho ;). I like Top Gear because it’s not really about cars and the presenters are simply idiots.

    Quite agree about Doctor Who, David Tennant should never have left!

    Fools and Horses, Friends, One Foot in the Grave, Ant and Dec, Strictly Come Dancing, Inspector Morse (not Endeavour tho!)

    I am sure I will remember more later lol

    1. Roseanne, you’re absolutely right about Top Gear, the studio part is recorded where I work, and it has always baffled me why peeps will pay good money to stand about in a cold and drafty aircraft hangar to watch 3 overgrown boys spouting off a lot of nonsense! x

  4. Jackie…. brilliant blog 🙂
    Lets see now… I dont watch any reality crep or soaps.
    I prefer comedy eg: BigBangTheory; Two and a Half Men (with charlie sheen)(I love jake);
    MI5 but think in UK its called Spooks; Supernatural; Criminal Minds; Arrow;
    Oh yes there is one reality I have watched, that was CatFish.
    Anything geographical.

    Shows that really really errrrk me…. Tots In Tiara’s This should be BANNED.

    Thanks jackie 🙂
