Falling In Love

‘Don’t fall in love with someone who says the right things, fall in love with someone who does the right things.’-Robert Tew

I found this on the internet, don’t know who the author is, but I think it gives us some food for thought.

‘Sometimes when we start to feel ourselves fall in love, we get cold feet and contemplate backing out of potential relationships before they start because we feel as though we may not be ready to give our heart away. Remember when you are in the midst of finding a love to make sure that you aren’t just falling in love with the person that they present themselves as on the outside, but with the person that they truly are at the level of their heart and soul.

Remember also that falling in love is taking a risk, and though taking risks are an important part of finding your own happiness in life, we should be careful with whom we choose to open up our hearts to because there is always a chance that a person may eventually get hurt. Also remember that if or when you do decide to let your heart go to do so with great courage instead of building a foundation in a relationship from dishonesty and stress.’

  2. Here is my take on this subject of love.. Some will say you are lucky if you married your high school sweet heart,, others will say,, They were mint for each other,, but I always thought that love was lust,, and lust would turn into love,, after a while,, when you got to know the real person,, I been married 49 years,, the lust is still there,, I am going to give her one more year to see if it’s love.. But I am willing to negotiate if more time is needed.. lol,, Some stay to long and others I feel will run to quick before taken a stand and fighting for what they want in life.. They say the first time is the hardest but then it gets easier,, before long you’re on the side line but a track star.. The ones that stayed to long usually are the one that falls the hardest.. if you have doubts you left to soon then fight wasn’t over.. Lou

    1. Lou, i agree with you on the lust, or chemistry as i would call it, it has to be there……..BUT……….and this is a big but, there has to be so much more there too, cannot live your life in bed, oh !! i don’t know though..lol joking apart……need to have something’s in common………same aims in life, singing from the same hymn sheet as it were…….different interest’s are good to have……..but yes it can be damned hard work at time’s……..some run too soon, or maybe not soon enough……when you know it’s over, it’s over……..no point in wasting your life with someone you no longer wish to be with. x

  3. Val, very wise word’s…….talk is cheap, do not mistake it for genuine feelings, sometime’s it is, sometimes not, it’s the action’s you need to see to back it up. xxx
