DO YOU BELIEVE UFO’S REALLY EXIST? C 2008 JoJo

I know there’s been a great deal of debate over the centuries about the existence of flying saucers, and whether in fact, there is life on any of the other planets in our Galaxy.

Well both my hubby and I actually saw a UFO. It was in Lorraine, Quebec, where we used to live. Lorraine is located approximately 16 kms. north of Montreal and our house was up on a hill, whose kitchen looked out on Montreal in the distance. Well, one night in December, 1973, I was at the kitchen sink doing the dishes, and looked out of the huge picture window we had there. On that particular night, Montreal had low lying cloud covering it completely, but I could see above and below this cloud. Suddenly a huge circular object hovered above the cloud, surrounded by light. It also had bright lights shining down onto the top layer of the cloud which, in turn, reflected back onto it, making it clearly visible. I called my hubby to come and see, and we stood looking at it for a full 15 minutes, absolute awe struck. This object was huge, not some dinky little spacecraft, and it glowed in the night sky. It hovered absolutely still in its position above the cloud, and after 15 minutes – wham – it was gone. We didn’t see it going – one minute it was there, and the next it had gone. So if you were to ask me if I believed in extra terrestrials, I could tell you in all honesty, that not only do I believe in them, I actually saw one of their spacecrafts.

It wasn’t the first one I’d seen either. I saw one when going to work in Rio de Janeiro, in broad daylight. It was a much smaller craft than the one I saw over Montreal, but it was clearly visible for a few minutes, then wham- it was gone.

This poses the question – why haven’t extra terrestrials contacted us? Could it be because we’re so underdeveloped and insignificant, according to their technological standards, that we’re not worth bothering about? However, I believe the principle reason is because they know it would cause a mass panic and hysteria, with disastrous results. Just remember the panic that ensued when Orson Welles declared on radio “The Martians have landed, the Martians have landed” in his radio play which so many people thought was a genuine broadcast? However, I am absolutely sure that our Governments know of their existence but once again, it’s kept top secret so as not to cause massive hysteria and terror throughout the population – and indeed the world at large.

For all we know, there may be some ET’s living among us. I find this concept intriguing. If they have the technology to build spacecraft that travel at speeds we can’t even imagine, maybe they could reproduce themselves in our image and live among us. Who knows?

I always bear in mind that people laughed at whoever first said that the world was round (as far as I can make out, nobody is quite sure who first hypothesized this theory) but I’m sure his peers called him a nut case – as indeed they have also laughed at many others with vision, whose theories have subsequently been proven to be true.

And then, or course, there was Roswell. What makes Roswell especially suspicious is the huge cover-up that ensued, with people being sworn to secrecy over what they’d seen in the farmer’s field on that day.

I think it would constitute incredible arrogance and conceit on our part, to imagine for an instant, that we’re the only life forms in our huge Galaxy.

One day, I’d love to go to Machu Picchu because I’ve read that flying saucers are seen there on a regular basis. I’ve also read articles by those who’ve gone there, that Machu Picchu is a very mystical and spiritual place that feels different from any other location they’ve visited. Well, the cynics would probably say that, due to the high altitude of Machu Picchu, the “mystical and spiritual” feeling the visitors are experiencing is due to a lack of oxygen which is addling their brains, thereby making them delusional! However, I am not a cynic, and have always kept an open mind on the mysteries of life.

Frankly, I’m excited over the possibility that one day, we could actually get to meet an Extra Terrestrial.! That would be … absolutely … amazing …phenomenal … wonderful! Just think what we could learn from him/her/it? I know I would have thousands of questions I’d like to ask!!

  1. Joanna , I have never seen any flying saucer but do believe that they exist and that our government has tried to cover up there existance also here in the USA. Thanks for sharing you story with us.

  2. You guys must have been watching Men in Black recently. I can’t see any other reason for belielving aliens are living among us. Science certainly doesn’t support the likelihood of extra-terrestrials on this planet, for a variety of reasons. But it is an intriguing topic, for sure!
