Death is Nothing

“Death is nothing to us, because when we are, death has not come, and when death has come, we are not”. Epicurus. Ponder this for yourself and you may find it comforting. I do and I share what may be helpful to others. If you have different beliefs, I am not negating beliefs, I am only offering a thought that some may find helpful. Epicurus was one of the great thinkers of the world and his words are worthy of some consideration.

  1. Hi Rose, while I understand what Epicurus has quoted here, & thankfully do not need any clarification on death. I am not at all afraid of death, as I am quite sure of my destination after death, but the only thing that concerns me is the actual act of dying. If it is quick as in an accident, that is OK, but to die a slow death as of a disease such as cancer that slowly destroys the body, that bothers me, & I pray that this does not happen. Love, Baggie.

  2. Baggie, some groups are working on more control of those issues of incapacitation and pain. There are some options already legal. We all dread the process and from what I hear, it isn’t easy.
