De-electrified.
Last night @ 10:21, the power went out. And it was just above freezing outside. The power company site said power would be restored in 2 and a half hours. But no matter what time you checked in, power was always going to be restored in 2 1/2 hours. They didn’t get around to get power back on till 2 PM the next day. You forget how used to having electricity and how much it is a part of our 21st Century lives. NO TV!!! And you keep flicking on lights that you know won’t work. I have an ancient battery radio. It could only get my PBS station, which has the BBC news. Most of the broadcast was in English, but sports news was broadcast in British. “Something, something, 3-3, something, something, 3-2” etc. Apparently, someone was being interviewed, but he also spoke British. I just love my happy little electrons dancing through my wires, now.
