D Day 6th June 1944
Today we remember what our Fathers and fore Fathers did for us and our country …
Today I feel small
And quite rightly so,
As I honour you, great giants
Whom I don’t even know.
But I know what you did
In nineteen-forty-four
On the beaches of France,
On blood-stained shores.
All of my words
All I possess
Was given by you
And your brothers at rest.
So thank you my friends
It doesn’t seem enough,
For all that you fought for,
For all that you loved.
With respect for them all ❤️

D Day
When will we ever learn that life is a wonderful gift too precious to give away, particularly to satisfy the greed and interests of so few. RIP
Being a vet myself. I see Tibet what you are saying. I carry two projectiles in my body protecting my mates. There is only one reason that I can see to fight in a conflict. Other than to protect yourself, your loved ones, or those that can not protect themselves.
On this day, June 6th 1944 I stand with my head bowed to honor those paid the ultimate price and also for all military service members since. I thank them from the heart.
Thank you Ms.Pollie for reminding me.
