Much as I enjoy a good laugh I’d like to see some Blogs on the start of the home page instead of a daily joke , some of which I’ve found slightly offensive. I may be opening a can of worms here but as I’m an advocate of free speech I’ll risk it.

I must say I agree with you Scorpio. (We will be in the Minority).
Being in a minority doesn’t bother me at all. I am , as you are , entitled to voice my opinion which I did , I think , in an unconfrontational manner and although it wasn’t well received I will make no apology for my blog.Afterall , freedom of speech is accepted in most of the free world.
I’d still prefer to see original blogs on the home page instead of items , poems etc written by other people. I’d always understood that was what the blogs were intended to be – all one’s own work.
I must agree with you. I thought blogs were meant to be your own work. I don’t think I will try anymore as my blogs just get lost in the mass of stories copied from the internet most of which I have seen at least once before. I would have even thought that in the case of the lovely Pam Ayers poetry there might be a copyright problem with just copying them onto a site.

All of the foregoing are interesting and each has its merit.
I too felt that blogs copied from sources such as Pam Ayres
were a little out of place – speaking simply for myself I also prefer original items, preferably kept somewhat shorter as opposed to overlong ones – we all have our own opinions and have the right to express them.
It would seem that other members have similar opinions to my own. Thank you drummer and I totally agree with your comment regarding expressing one’s opinions.
