Aspiring Writer
Hi all, I posted this to The Writing Group and wanted to share it here, too.
Hello Writers and Poets!
I joined this site in February. I was looking for alternatives in social networking, also wanted to interact with people close to my age for just friendship.
I really found it to be an added benefit that blogging is big here. I also like the groups and was encouraged to find this writing group.
I am an aspiring writer. I want to take the next step and put more of my work ”out there” (here), for others to read. Feedback is welcome. I am preparing myself to receive constructive criticism and maybe even some ”dislikes”, as I know those comments can help me as much as positive words.
My ”theme” for most of my writing is ”Real life is funnier and stranger than fiction”. I usually share about my own experiences, and my perspective on lessons learned. Occasionally I get serious.
I’ll share more later, I just wanted to let you know what my hopes and plans are, and ask you writers for any advice and feedback. Thanks very much!
Just go for it Kay ! I’m an avid reader and love reading blogs , we can never have enough lol
When you post on here you will get more comments but the blog sometimes gets lost quickly as more and more posts are added .
If you post in groups you have the chance of being visible for a longer time … Maybe if you publish in writers group , you could post an announcement here , to let everybody know you have posted something , you will soon find the best way to do it .

hello kay, I wish you well with you writing projects, I was a new poet and commenced writing here in poetry groups and now about to have my first book published , thanks to the encouragement of Jo Jo and N, mod who always give me positive encouragement and feedback,, so do commence writing and I will look forward to see what you have written, we may have a budding famous Author on our hands , love and best wishes Lani.p.s. forgot to mention Bugs our resident poet, he is soo good at writing poetry and was a great help to me when i first started as well thanks Bugs.xxxxx
