New start?
I reached a milestone age and decided that is was time to join a dating agency. I have never felt special to anyone and reaching this age, I feel I know the type of partner I could be happy with.
I have never been too hideous to look at, I’ve looked after myself and would like similar in a man, I would like them to be hygienic and able to take a share of household chores.
Ideally I would find someone able to put up a shelf or do the garden or paint a room when needed, these things are essential, as I can do these jobs myself but it would be good to have a partner to share with.
I didn’t ask for particular interests, I mentioned my love of music and reading and that I follow a healthy diet and exercise most days.
I didn’t think it was too much to ask however, the majority of replies were from, you guessed it, married men who’s wives did not understand them ??????????????
Worse still, you pay to register on the site, I guess I didn’t specify that I wanted them to be single.

The internet is such an easy way to get away with whatever profile others may fabricate. Even though this site isn’t a dating site, a lot still try. I smiled at you saying “my wife doesn’t understand me”. I cant count the number of times that line gets used. I put happily married on my profile here, makes no difference. One told me I’m safer as being married I wouldn’t want anything serious. Lol I dont want anything casual or serious lol I bet it would be difficult these days being single and looking. A friend of mine was dating a man for a years not knowing he was married. I’d imagine it would make you paranoid. Ive seen many men duped as well. The internet has its good points but also bad. But its the same in the real world also.

Dont give up hope. Your wish list is very reasonable. I have a good friend in a similar situation. There are lots of good people out there that deserve to find someone special to boost each others quality of life. Please keep looking but take care.

Keep trying and don’t be put off by the scumbags and toads. It can happen an ex-workmate of mine chatted to one particular female for ages before eventually travelling hundreds of miles to meet in person. Knowing the story of how they met I was unsure but seeing them together many weeks later restored my faith in people a little. They were made for each other.
