Your Best Day
I had a very good day yesterday. I didn’t win a large sum of money, I did not receive a great honor, and I didn’t discover a new love, but I had a good day or a day about as good as it gets.
I recovered from an infection and I went to the gym. I went grocery shopping and to a medical appointment all in our newly returned sunshine. I went to a fish fry because it is Lent and the churches and other groups sponsor fish fries on Friday. I received an order and all items were perfect for me. It was like christmas.
I also got a call from a friend inviting me to a social with a group we both are in. I made a new friend at my gym. My grandson stopped by with his little son and my granddaughter called from California and invited me to visit.
This day is about as good as I expect. A good day can be just no new bad news. I have had a lot of bad news in my family for some time; the family shrinking as happens to many of us so people staying available and close is deeply appreciated. So unexpected good news has not happened that often.
I also did get money in the mail which was timely instead of late. I know that the people in my life can go distant and just be TOO BUSY but yesterday was a good day. A good day is good day and also gives hope of better days to come.
This might sound rather trite, I did not rescue anyone or save any lives, but it is good to have a good day after having illnesses of my own and illness of others, separations and deaths also, which made many bad days of anxiety and loss.
This was a good day, so what would be a good day for you? If it is about as good as it gets, I am very grateful for a GOOD DAY.
