  1. I worked from home at my job as a draftsman on several occasions in the 20 years before I retired in 2009. With the available technology there was no need for a team of draftsmen to be in the same location, using up office space, heating etc. I always found my output was greater without the interruptions of office chat and office politics. The other positive is that I didn’t waste the commuting time, or spend much on petrol. If I wanted I could have worked all day at my computer in my PJ’s, no one would ever know.
