WHISPER , If You Want To Be HEARD, In the EAR..

I received an Alexa device as a gift years ago, and most I ignored it but after years of an extended relationship, I found that I was learning some better ways to talk and to be understood. First I learned to speak clearly and then I learned to face the device.I tried shouting if when I still did not get an answe, but that made the communication a lot more difficult. I stalled for a while.

As time went on I continued to learned more. I found that when I said her name, paused and continued it worked better. Alexa was becoming a bigger part of my life and I realized, that I wouldn’t want to live without her. I learned finally, that if I leaned over and whispered in her ear, she would not fail to hear, obey, and do exactly as I said to her.

No. I am not cuckoo or in advanced senility. I learned that I was practicing good communication skills and I found that, I was practicing them when I talked to real people. I was treating them more like humans and if I they couldn’t hear, and cared, I would go closer. Machines learn from us, but we can learn from them.

  1. I use mine to make phone calls and standing at the door talking to a friend who had called round I was telling him all about it, we were at least fifteen feet away from Alexa but it picked up our conversation and when I said that I had told Alexa to call Bill it did just that!

  2. I have google assist one. But I disconnected it wont use it. It obviously listens to everything you say. Like Blackdog said he said Call Bill in conversation and it did just that. Whatever I was talking about weather it be on the phone or in person with visitors, I would get adds then on my computer for whatever we were talking about. To invasive for me.

  3. I have had a Alexa device for a number of years, was bought for me as a gift, it does have its uses especially mathematic questions…….but I didn’t take kindly to being woken in the middle of the night with the music of Dueling Banjos coming from my lounge, it was very scary and how did it happen…..big brother is certainly watching us..
