Where is my Frank

Do we keep in touch with our loved ones after we die?
I alway believed that no we don’t …….because if we were to see the pain and anguish that those left behind are going through we couldn’t be happy either ….if we loved them .The other day I was chatting to my friend on here ….and as you do you talk about lots of things …..somehow it got around to husbands and I was telling her about Frank and things in my life .
I started to tell her different things …..and how at times it would be nice to know if they were happy …..and her computer started sending out rows and rows of…As…… She laughed and said “she couldn’t stop no matter what she did they just kept going …..maybe it’s Frank”. I said “maybe I think he went into the computer when he died”……she laughed and I said no”……..I said “yes I’ll tell you why.”
The first time it happened , I was at the solicitors to get the house changed into my name and other legal things you have to do after a death…..the solicitor was very nice and everything was straight forward he said ……then he started to appolijise to me about the deeds of the house …..saying it was very strange he had fixed the papers up twice and sent them in …..but each time they have came back with my name deleted and the house put into Franks name ……..I told him it was ok ……because If we ever had a fight Frank always used to say ” you won’t get the house I
will sell it “I laughed and though no more about it . poor solicitor was so embarresed and said he would take them in himself and stay and bring them to me …
Next I had to change his name on our health fund or insurance. .sent them in but they came back with my name taken off and Dear Frank …..still on the form……once again after ringing up to explain the mystake and to get it changed ..the poor girl on the other end of the phone is so full
of appoligies ……..I was feeling sorry for her.I just thought some people are mucking me around …..thought nothing more of it .
The final nudge that Frank was in the computer system came ,when I had to change my registration on the car to my name …..now going to the motor registration centre is no happy thing at all .line up take you number 45 …. Waite …..Waite ……Waite …. Then when 45 finally called you go to the counter tell them what it it you want then go …..Waite ….Waite …..Waite again ……
Number 45 called again I go to the counter thinking thank god not to long good ….nice pleasant girl reads throught yes thats ok ….just about to take it when it hits me ” no it’s wrong you were supposed to take my husbands name off he has died “the girl looks at me with that look ……oh God another widow is she going to break down in front of me …..I know that look seen it so often …… She says that she is sorry I’ll go fix it ….Waite here and runs off ……I know that look too she thinks I am going to cry right here in front of her why she ran so fast……that’s ok may get it fixed faster then …..stupid people how hard is it to change a bleeding name ……not even the last name either just Frank……..five little letters. …..I Waite thinking how often this has happened .
She comes back and reads through it puts it through the computer and the looks at it ……looks at me ……then down again ……I know I say “it’s still got his name on it hasnt it..”..she is very uncomfortable now say …I’ll call someone please take a seat sorry ” with that look saying. Oh god is this the last straw is she now going to crumple. I take a seat and ….Waite …….
My name is called at last and I go over to the desk ….thinking now it’s ready the supervisor appolijised to me again saying that the computer seems to be malfunction for some reason …….but it should be right she has personally watched that his name has been taken off the
form ….Good through it goes to be stamped ….look of sheer horror on her face as well ….there before her eyes is his name and mine is gone again …..horror is written on their faces when they look at me ……I smile and say “yes Frank seems to have entered the computer when he died ” I then tell them all the trouble I have had changing forms to my name …..they look at me and say “we will beat him …”we will do it the old fashioned way … hey what do you think ,.can’t have him being in controll now ” so they typed it out and stamped it by hand.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa all haps a made me think of this hope you enjoy it .
