When is a friend a disappointment?
Oh dear, a blog after several glasses of Stella Artois, I never learn. The title refers to my best friend and brother who after being my best man three times at my weddings ran off with my last wife. He is a person obsessed with money – but was happy to dispose of our friendship when my wife became available.
No kids, idle and doesn’t work. i find in chat the word ‘friend’ can have many meanings but I’m a bit disappointed I just regard my children and father as my real friends. I have met some wonderful new people here though so much better than the last site.
Sorry your best friend brother did that to you,but three wives and only 52 you must go trough them at a great rate?Hopye you do find a true friend one day.
Sorry for the betrayal of your best friend/brother Shaun……….but you know you cannot take someone of another if they don’t want to go……..takes two my friend, have to ask yourself why she chose an idle layabout man over you………and I cannot quite get my head around a man being obsessed with money but doesn’t work to earn any……..so I’m assuming he is skint…..but I could be wrong, maybe a genius on the Stock market….take your time before you leap into marriage again…………fourth time lucky maybe……..go on, open another can of Stella Artois……… things will look better in the morning…..
That deserves more than one can…
Sorry for you disappointment(s) but – perhaps you brother the best man was do you a VERY BIG FAVOR? True love will not be deny…. wish them well and carry on. 🙂
Shaun, no one knows the details or circumstances of your past life,so it’s wrong to apportion blame. All you can do is put it all behind you and you do seem to have made a new life for yourself, with very little bitterness. We’ve all been hurt, and done the hurting, but it’s the way you deal with things that’s important, and you seem to be doing ok!
When is a friend a disappointment? I think you answered that with a very good example shaundavid
‘When is a friend a disappointment?’ When they disappoint.
Brother,Keep your chin up!!
Thank you Starlette and Macathy for your comments, and everyone else too. As you’ve said Macathy it’s a very sorry story but I’m not complaining as I’ve done bad things I was just opening up a conversation. Drink isn’t the answer I agree – but Macathy
I was burdened with three violent wives who were regularly banned from local bars. Thank the Lord I have arrived here in SC.
Oh lawdy lawdy
Shaun I think you need look at a different type of women !maybe one who has found religion and doesn’t drink anymore! The more gentile kind?
If lightening strikes the same tree three times, it might be wise to move to a new location.
How many wives ?
Methinks your just having a laugh Matey
Rule # 1……never drink and blog. Lol ?????
Well, if the story is true, it would still hurt a great deal, but evidently, you needed a 4th chance and got it. Figure out what you are doing wrong in the choosing or is it possible, you drive women into a frenzy? But regardless, if it is true, it would still hurt. I have 7 brothers and none would mess with another brother’s wife.
