When does Christmas stop?

Until yesterday I would have never really thought about it.
I was picking up my mom at her place. We were going to my older daughter’s place to celebrate an early Christmas supper. Long story short, my younger daughter’s children were going with their father on Christmas Day until after New Year’s.
While I was at mom’s place, she talked about her neighbors, they are a couple in their 40’s without children. The woman had visited mom that day. During their conversation the woman said that her husband was not keen on visiting his parents. That’s when the woman told her husband that he better visit them, because once they’re gone, there’s no more Christmas.
With those people in mind, I say Merry Christmas to all. May the best memories keep your Christmas spirit alive.

  1. there is something about having your parents at Christmas time that makes the day. I would be inclined to agree with her it isn’t the same once they are gone, although you then work at making xmas special for your children, have a merry xmas and a happy new year davidrv
