How many men or women are too, too many to date. I am just talking dating “no benefits”. I know In that case you would be a slut or a Lothario, lecher, skirt chaser, seducer etc.. There is not a male equivalent for slut. Well, be it man or woman, how many is too many to date?

Flowersun. So nice to trust me with your story. I had my heart broken once real bad. It hurt something fierce for years, but life went on and I tried to find another love but never did, and I really don’t know if i ever can. I sure as hell have done my best job of looking and trying, so I know that I didn’t just waste my time. I had some reasonable facsimilies and some interesting times and still have had plenty of time to sigh and be sad and single and lonely. I am already older than you but when my time comes to go, I don’t want to have just wasted time. I can’t help being no luckier or smarter than I am.
I tend to describe myself as a serial monogamist. That is the partners changed from time to time, but only one at a time.
So, for me, too many is more than one.
Rose, I only dated my husband in high school and we got married in 58 and he passed away in 93 and have not dated any one since then. I think I told you that when I talk to you on the phone awhile back . I know I have a friend who found a nice man online but she hasn’t married him but is now taking care of him as he is 82 and has the beginning of dementia and don’t think she thought she would be his carer but they live in Charlestown Senior Living community and they do have assisted living and help they if she is not able to take care of him later. So don’t think I will be looking online for someone to date and I don’t belong to any groups where I would come in contact with single men that are my age. They are some single men in my condo but again they are younger than me and not interested in asking them out on a date. :0
Rose I guess you are dating a few men or you wouldn’t be asking this question….if this isn’t posing a problem for you in anyway then the amount doesn’t matter….I am assuming that none are as yet meaningful relationships. .when and if you develop deeper feelings for one of them ,then might be the time to eliminate some…
.I would imagine you would do this anyway…just as a afterthought do the guys know you see more than them, and how would they react if they did..
.maybe they have other dates too….and there is a name for men who put it about……a male whore…lolx

I say there is 52 saturdays in a year.. so 52 dates.. now they can be with the same person as in my case.. or I guess date 52 single dates.. Lou. I like your last sentence. I am determined not to lie to any one at any time . One wanted a promise to see only him after the second date. I told him no in the best manner possible. They are nice blokes, but they are of the male species. LOL

hmmm, honesty called for here, I have had one deep meaningful relationship in the past 20 or more years, that didnt work out, because he was telling other women the same things he was telling me , saying to other women he and I were at an end , unbeknown to me, when one of these women came and told me what he had been up too, i finished it there and then , then the cheeky blighter asked me to go back with him, so I have issues with trust ……. after being a widow for many years , I let my guard down and look what happened ,so one has to be very very careful, not looking for a relationship, if it comes along , good and well but not dating ……… but I do like men and enjoy light conversation with them some are very nice……..
Lani, you have been alone a lot and when we are lonely, we make easy targets. I have been played and I may be now but I am still in the game.
