Thoughts on “The Stripey”

Firstly I have noticed the spelling errors – sorry about that.
Like all my little stories I did research this (honest!!)
It is set about 10 years in the future, hence the solar panels on the roof of his prefabricated replica house, and a party similar to the Nazi Party has come to power and is performing a “Final Solution” on the Ethnic Minorities.
The term “Stripey” was used by British POWs in a camp near one of the Auschwitz satellite camps to describe the striped pyjamas worn by the inmates. It is detailed in the book “The Man Who Broke Into Auschwitz”. The 204 designation of the Extermination camp on the other side of the ridge is Hitler’s birthday, 20th April, and the sign over it’s gate is as close as I can get to the sign “Work Makes Free” over the gates of the Concentration Camps. “Tickler” prods were invented by Robert Heinlein in his 50s Sci Fi novel “Farnhams Freehold”. A “Unimog” is a multi terrain vehicle made by Mercedes. The location of the story can be anywhere you like but I had in mind a valley that I know in North Wales.
You are supposed to get the idea that he is going to shelter the girl so that. when he turns her in (because all he cares about is his own skin), it comes as a shock.
Hope the story didn’t disappoint.
