Don’t know what you’ve got until its gone

Been musing on this today ( too much time on my hands lol) its an old saying but Im finding the older I get the truer it is. From the trivial like hair, teeth, eye sight, mobility…memory haha to the more profound, the loss of family, friends you hold dear, the fact you have more years behind you than in front, the regrets..a lucky person who has none of those…..However that is life and the one thing I have learnt (too late as always) is make the most of every moment,  be bold, take those chances, love who you want to love, cherish those carefree summers, revel in your babies because one day they will, be grown. Now here we are and you know what? We are here when so many aren’t,  we can still experience joy, love and laughter do what we want…just not as quickly lol…and look fwd albeit it through reading glasses to an Autumn where we must appreciate what we have not what has gone.
