Thoughts on THE NIP

it is likely that Adam was bitten by a bat infected with Rabies, which was nesting in a hollow tree. Bats account for over 50 percent of Rabies infections in Humans in the USA, which is where my head located this story. However, there have only been a few cases, from any cause, in the USA since 1990.
Assuming that Joanna survived the attack by Adam it is very unlikely that she would have contracted the disease but she would have been given preventative treatment as a safety measure. Once the symptoms of the disease show it is normally fatal.
The symptoms I describe are reasonably accurate, if a little dramatised, but I have accelerated the incubation period.
This story was first posted on another site, under another name, where I was challenged to enter a competition to write a horror story based round a camping trip. It took me about a week to think this one up and do a tiny bit of research. The story was marked 9/10 because I misplaced a couple of commas but, if you search through it, you will find errors which they missed (Ha Ha).
