this refers to the UK as a whole, and not just England

I want My England Back –

(To other countries if possible as well as:

“ENGLAND”

I think this really sums it all up.

After hearing that many cities did not want to offend other cultures by putting up Xmas lights, so DIDN’T!

After learning that the British Red Cross shops were instructed not to display Christmas decorations lest they cause offence. (A move which cost them and all likewise thinking “my” support thereafter.)

After hearing that the Birmingham council changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver’s license with her face covered. (You try it and be identified by Police etc!)

After hearing of a Primary School in Birmingham where a boy was told that for PE they could wear Football League shirts (Aston Villa, Birmingham, West Brom etc) but NOT an England shirt as it could offend others !

This prompted the editorial below written by a UK citizen.
and published in a British newspaper.

IMMIGRANTS. NOT BRITONS THAT MUST ADAPT!!!

Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on London , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits.

However, the dust from the attacks has barely settled and the ‘politically correct’ crowd begin complaining about the possibility that our patriotism is offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain . However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand.

This idea of England being a multicultural centre for community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britons, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of wars, struggles, trials and victories fought by the untold masses of men and women who laid down their lives and of the millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!

If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture, which is most of the population. IfSt.George’s Crossoffends you, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet.

We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don’t care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this.

But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our National Motto, or Our Way of Life, I encourage you take advantage of one other great British freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.

We didn’t force you to come here. If you don’t like it, or believe this you are

“PART OF THE PROBLEM”,

GO HOME, OR SOME WHERE ELSE!!

You asked to be here.. So accept the country that accepted YOU. Pretty easy really, when you think about it..

If we all keep passing this to our friends (and enemies) it will also, sooner or later get back to the complainers, lets all try, please.

you are subjecting your grandchildren to rule under “NON” ENGLISH Rule!!! .

  1. Oh Shadow….I love England..the UK…and I agree with much of what you say..we are losing so much…and I fear we will reap the harvest…I absolutely love all the different cultures…many people have so much to offer…but….many have come the drain us dry…we are a soft touch…We have been smothered by Europe….we have to put up with a lot of PC nonsense…we are told that we cannot do this or that…Oh stop moaning Morvenna…These Islands are totally beautiful…I am so happy that people want to come and see our Green and Pleasant Land…we welcome all visitors…just please respect that this is the UK…not an extension of any other country.

    1. I hope you read this morvenna i couldnt get on here yesterday so the post has slipped down. I absolutely agree with you, our country is still beautiful, but will it be for our G/children and their children?..I have grave doubts about that. I pray i am wrong. I live in one of the most populated areas where so many different cultures live, i have no problem with that, except to say most of the crime ( yes, there is a lot of it) that accures is mostly between them selves. Only a couple of nights ago we had a running battle in the avenue between Asians and black guys and a couple of guns were fired..its scary but its life now it seems, there doesnt seem to be anything the police can do except scatter them and they all disperse, only for it to happen again another night. Oh heck, i seem to have gone off the subject, sorry… I know GB will never be like it was in days gone by, but that shouldnt stop folks who move here getting along with each other and respecting each others cultures. now, that what you call moaning morvenna lol. 🙂 x

  2. I agree with Shadow as when we go to other countries too live( and I have) we have to prove that we have money in the bank.We do not get to build Churches etc. as things are built here.I think we are a country that has been abused for quite a long time.Yes we do have the honest people here to work like doctors and nurses etc. But there are also a lot that never do work. Just my opinion. …..Ann

    1. Your opinion is always welcome tania. You are so right and i agree with every thing you say. A partition for a new church to be built was laughed at the other week, i wont mention who by!! but i saw in our local rag that a new mosque was on the agenda for the next meeting…go figure!!! lol. 🙂

    1. Hello jay. its still a beautiiful country with it mountains and rolling hills. I hope you manage to come one day i know you wont be disapointed…dont forget to go and see Big Ben!! lol. 🙂

  3. I have suspicions regarding the validity of some of the claims in the original post.

For example, it is not the city, but the national driver licencing centre who decide what is and is not an acceptable photograph on a driving licence.

  4. This is also happening in Australia. If people from other countries come to live in our countries, I agree THEY HAVE TO ADAPT TO OUR CULTURE AND LAWS, not the other way around. I am so afraid that we are going to lose our identity in the long run if Governments don’t stop this. Fortunately, being a senior, I wont be around to see it, but our great grandchildren will, and I hate to think of what the country will be like for them.

  5. I read about that happening in Australia forever. I watched a tv program about it a couple of weeks ago, it was an eye opener. Yes, it will be our g/children who will be the innocents in the future…what the hell have we done/they done? I have no time whats-so-ever for the PC brigade..they have done more harm than good in my opinion…but can they see it? NO!!!!! and never will. Sorry about the rant!! i feel a bit better now lol. 🙂

  6. Yep, same with the U.S. The poor Mexicans are taking over. Their own country can’t take care of them so they make it across the boarder, work cheap…paid under the table & then they even get health care. They get more help than the p oor americans & it just isn’t right.

When you call a government agency, it’s press one for English, otherwise you hear Spanish. In my apt complex, there is one nice Mexican family, but the mother still doesn’t speak English.

I am learning spanish for when I travel down south…wish they could do the same while they live here.
