Things we could do better
I personally like what members are publishing in the blogs. But I’ve to admit I don’t understand the SC system correctly. For example: why don’t writers resize their pics or pay so little attention to the quality of them? Second point, why do members do not clean their entries. I found entries which are several month old and not up to date any longer? I think it should be possible to create a blog of the day, week ore month. This could lead to a certain kind of competition between the bloggers? I’m anxious reading the comments of my lines??

A competition separate from general posting would be fun. I would hate to see them change the current blog section. I guess it would be up to each individual blogger to delete old post, if they wanted. I’m not for deleting myself.
Well sariel that’s up to any individual. By my own meaning I would like to say, the one who only looks into the rearview mirror will hit the tree. My meaning about facts and situations changes as fast as the world goes topsy-turvy. Just take the situation in the Ukraine today as an example.
I like that. You could also say, to erase history erases our chance to learn from our mistakes.
I somewhat agree with you.. I do delete my stuff after a period of time.. When I decide I have to much crap on here,, then one night while everyone is asleep,, I come in with an erasers and start the rub.. Then seniors the next morning,, say what happen to Lou? is Lou gone? who made Lou mad? what going on with Lou?.. then I come back and have to answer all the questions.. I act dumb, really not an act, I’ll say,, like what happen? How took my stuff?
I think you see why I delete it.. lol.. Lou
But what a clever way of getting more comments……..not sure i like the idea of you rummaging around when i am asleep…….lol xx

I guess people are not perfectionists, von michael, I like a few mistakes , it proves to me that everyone is not perfect and there all a joy to read ,and the fact that some take the time to write them means a lot to those who cant get out much , and a joy to read., I do delete p,m,s and such , hardly write blogs , but do answer a few……..just saying……..

SC has been wonderful organized in groups. Anyone can find the one ore more
which is interesting and suitable….

That I think depends on the situation. Women can write books about that theme!
vonMichael, you make some interesting points. I do not think we have an option to resize our pics, if you are talking about the avatar that is on our profile page. It is not possible to delete old blogs except by requesting the site owner to do it. I am not competitive, so I don’t want that. We would have to have rules and be judged which would hamper an honest heartfelt posting. I do agree that a reasonable effort should be made to check for clarity, typos etc..
Thank you very much Rose for those points of you. My thoughts came up to mind when I read the blog about poems recently. SC is wonderful parted in many sections so everybody can find its on group of interest.
On the other hand my proposal for a little competition is the result of being always amazed how humorously members write their blogs. And as far as it the size of the pictures concerned I think members could get more applause for the effort made posting their pics.
Nothing is as old as yesterdays newspaper. So why shoud articles stay on here for ages? That doesn’t make sense to me.

I love going back to old posts and re-read them or catch up on any I may have missed … Having said that …I agree that a little cleaning up from time to time would be a good idea …but as rose has said it’s not possible to delete posts from the blog area …unless we ask admin. To do it .
Michael oh Michael, what are you trying to do to me………resize pics, your having a laugh, wouldn’t even have a pic on here if it were not for my grandson……i don’t do tech……….just something my head does not take on board…….like i always say……….My talents lay elsewhere…Teehee…xxx.
Oha Star I think you haven’t had time in the past for discovering all the talents you have? No doubt on my side concerning your technical talent!
