From across the Palk Straits she had come
To this beautiful island of Lanka.
Tall Palm trees swaying and the sea breeze calling.
Yes – Dreams had come true.
Life was lonely back home. It was not the same anymore.
This widow at 60 found her mate.
As talkative as she would like him to be
and young as he said at 63.
Not all had taken this move kindly but what the hell
this woman was happy, as happy as can be ……. so she thought competing with the Hot Sri Lankan spice.
Though she lost to her competitors she is still happy, as
happy as can be for it was the sweetest thing that happened to be.
