The story of an Amputee Indain woman who climbed Everest !

Arunima Sinha, a former national level volleyball player from UP, India lost her leg when some hooligans tried to snatch her gold chain, while she was travelling.
On her refusal, they pushed her out of the moving train.
She was hit by a train passing by and suffered horrible injuries. After the train incident, doctors had to amputate her leg below the knee to save her life.
A rod was inserted inside her leg to provide support to the damaged limb.
The ugly incident in 2011, her “darkest hour”, changed her life fully.
The 26-year old (at that time ) took the bull by the horns and converted this challenge into an sort of blessing in disguise, becoming the first woman amputee to successfully climb Mount Everest.
" I turned my artificial leg into my strength and stubbornly chose the most difficult sport for myself,” she said.
She planned to get her life on rails again and with support from her brother and coach, she thought of the things she was determined about.
“When I was undergoing treatment at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for four months, I could not do anything on my own. But then one day I decided to climb the Everest,” she said.
She joined Eco Everest Expedition group run by the Tata Steel Adventure Foundation- under ace mountaineer Bachendri Pal.
When she went through a yearlong mental and physical training schedule, she would sometimes feel discouraged since at times she failed to catch up with normal people, but her strong determination kept her on the go.
She did climbed 21,110 ft up Mt Chhamser Kangri (21,798 ft) of Ladakh in September 2011, but had to abandon it only when she was 690 ft short of the summit because of inclement weather conditions.
After great amount of strenuous training and 52 days of a difficult climb from Kathmandu up to the top of the peak, she succeeded in fulfilling her dream.
She conquered the highest summit which was 8,848 meters above the sea level on May 21, 2013.

Abhilaaj. As interesting as your posts are, it would seem that apart from the last sentence of each, ‘[Compiled by me from the relevant material available in the media about her including Wikipedia. newspaper archives and other relevant sites.]’, is copy and pastes from different sites, and not your own blogs.
It might be more suitable to have your own Group where you can happily copy your news items.
    Thanks.

It rather surprises me, PollyPie. Something which has happened is history. How do I create original news and history. I have to per se look at the material from various sources and present it. Yes, as I said it is a piece of reporting and compilation, true.
