The paralympics

Amazing….wonderful…..inspiring….I don’t watch a lot of TV….and almost never sport…hubby loves it…so it’s on…but….somehow….I can’t get into it…..BUT…..I have been watching the Paralympics…in open mouthed awe….on and off….and have actually been shouting at the TV lol….such brilliant sportspeople….such good coverage on Channel 4…and all this came about because of one man..Sir Ludwigg Guttman….a Jew…a German…who came over here and left such a huge legacy. It’s best if you Google him….I wont take up your time….but I just wanted to say…we never ever know what our children…or our childrens children…will do in this world. I wonder what this mans parents would have thought if they could see the sheer wonder of todays Paralympics. So wonderful….to have changed so many peoples lives….many of whom had been given up for dead really…and it shows the strenghth of the human spirit…We wont know what some of these people went through before they got to the stage where they could see a future…never mind win a Gold /Silver/Bronze Medal for the country…just wonderful.. I am awed…totally awed…sorry…I know people have written blogs about this…but….I was chatting in the room and some people had never heard of this amazing man,,,,xxxxxxx M
