Rob to be honest, if was said, about you in a derogatory portion of the chat room, that you say is true, by saying what you read, then you should and not put to the test of what another said to another, then by all means, give the person the shove. in this day of multiple social services that are abundant, with mouth hatred people that some seem to take a life-job to annoy to people. within the social and even the workplace does not belong anymore, we have have by now should have risen to that sort of sarcastic remarks whether it be in sexual, racial even stupid idiotic people who have nothing
better to do and antagonize people. I reiterate Rob no doubt you have said many people have reply to you countless times, it’s not fair, it should the person be reinstated, forget it, it is done and done over with by his own words [Rob’s} so get on with chatters room carry on there are plenty of more old chatters still here as well new one adding each day, welcome to the world of chat and keep it alive. thank Rob, you are doing OK.
Not quite sure what the gist of your comment is, ted, but I really do think linda should be given another chance.
It wouldn’t be unfair, i feel, to make it known why she’s on a final warning, and would perhaps allay other chatters’ fears of autocracy.
In fact, public warning of any of us who deserve it may be no bad thing, and might allow a proper reconciliation of potential disputes!
Framus if you read Robs blog you will see Linda had been given warnings previously. How many do you think she should get? Also, others have been deleted also for numerous reasons…should we let them all return just because someone likes their company?
she told me she got one warning 6 years ago and it wasn’t in writing
Framus, You write very well and I like what you say. I wonder if I am fair to Rob. I really do like the guy.
I have been a member of Senior Chatters since 2007 I think. It has grown in leaps and bounds since the few members back then, and has survived the occasional hiccup and implosion when the site collapsed in on itself. As the memberships have grown, it has become harder and harder for Rob and the admins to do their job. I for one think they do a hell of a job, often in very difficult circumstances. When push comes to shove, we have rules and regulations we all agree to, and if you don’t know what they are I suggest you look at what you signed when you joined. I have seen lots come and go, voluntarily and otherwise. As far as I can see, taking sides is not necessary. Rob and the admins decisions are final and if the behaviour was bad enough to warrant being banned, then basically, that is that. Give Rob a break and trust he did the best for the members and the site.
