Don’t have a kindle, but my phone is loaded with books…close to 200. Would be lost without them. Can carry a library around with me. Enjoy it. Great gift! Love, Jackie xxxx
Perhaps the Kindle should come with a 5 year old child for directions on how to use.
Be sure to press the Aa button right at the bottom, next to home. You can change the font size, choose to listen if you wish . I was content with the type size when I got the Kindle, but then I tried one size larger and the reading is so much easier for these old eyes.
You can start collections to organize your books. I have several eg. books read, favorites, Favorite author(with their books listed), I am obsessed with mountain climbing so I have a separate collection for those books.
You will figure it out, Nothing like trial and error and your friends here , of course!
I agree with Sophie; You’re a smart woman, you’ll figure it out. I have a basic Kindle, and just got a Kindle Fire for Christmas; The basic one is very simple and straight forward, but I’m still figuring out how to use all the Fire’s bells and whistles. Amazon offers a number of free books on how to make the best use ones Kindle, in additon to the other elevently-billion titles available for free and otherwise. I promise you, leaf, you’re gonna to love it . . ._/I\_
