TALENTS
I was unable to sleep last night (Australian time) so I decided to get up and turn on my PC and check out SC. I usually read the Blogs, and go into the Groups that I am a member of and check them out, but this time I decided to go into all of the Groups. For some unknown reason I thought I couldn’t participate in other Groups if I was not a member of that Group – (not sure if that is correct or not). Any way I found this a most interesting exercise. There are so many wonderfully talented people on SC – in the writing, the photography, musicians, etc, etc, and the poetry just “blew me away”. It made me feel so insignificant as I am not talented at all, I can’t sing, can’t play a musical instrument, can’t write stories or poetry. My life is so boring in comparison. When I was a young child I did try to learn the piano, but the teacher just wanted to get his hands inside my pants. Needless to say, that ended my musical experience. In my early teens I tried a modeling course, but the teacher just wanted to teach me about the birds and the bees, so again, that ended that. I think my parents recruited these people from the “Pub”. After that I just wanted to finish school, get a job, and get out of there. I’m sitting here trying to think if I do have any talents at all. I was a speed typist and that got me a job as a medical secretary. I’m not as fast now, but good enough. I’m a good listener (as I never talked much growing up), I’m compassionate and caring, and I must be a good person as I have collected good friends over the years who are still my friends (some for more than 50 years). Are these talents, I don’t know!

I agree with skippy foreveryoung you do have all of those talents. i on the other hand have none hee hee!!!!
You do have talents, forever. Speed typing is a talent in itself. I sit at a computer and the keyboard becomes dyslexic lol. A caring and compassionate nature is a talent all it’s own 🙂

You have one big talent forever…you are you a lady who has a beautiful mind and has great compassion. No more is needed in my book. xx :).
I agree with all of them FY. Everybody has some talent, believe me, but it might not always be in the Arts or Sport, which are usually considered the most valuable. The talent of listening is one that I regard very highly, as so few people seem capable of doing it.
Speed typing? I watch my wife touch typing, and it’s like magic to me. I cannot learn to do it. I’ve tried, and failed miserably .

How many can say what they mean and mean what they say with as elegantly as you do?
You are a very compassionate, caring and honest person with an amazing sense of humor.
You have an amazing sense of humor that you share with us all,,,,make us laugh like we havent laughed in ages, and are just genuinely a all around wonderful person and I am very proud to know you even though its only through cyber space!!!
