Stunning, stunning, stunning

the Diamond Jubilee celebrations today on TV, can’t believe I’ve been watching this nearly ALL day..feel quite emotional now…..
The The Queen looked overwhelmed…I loved her smiling so much & how much time they spent out on the balcony …
I feel so proud to be British again. Its amazing how these events will do that.
We need more of them……
Makes me want to go to the Olympics Opening Ceremony now!!!!

  1. Loved reading about that, Debz. …Hope you do go to the Olympics ceremony…wish I could be there, myself. …I would love to see your beautiful country, one day! xxx

  2. Oh the neighbours all came out to see if we could see the Red Arrows as they normally fly over this way…heard them but couldn’t see them, just a good community spirit for the past 4 days!!!

  3. Being a bit of an old planes nut, I missed the flyover that was cancelled thanks to the great British weather. It is interesting what you say about about the Olympics Debz,.I work just near the Olympic village and for months and months I have heard foreign people ask why are no airports are selling merchandise or having banners or TVs blazing with Olympic sponsors or just blazing it up generally, It is so true!!!. This area should be on fire with colour!!!.Shops – and airport shops owners should hang their heads in shame They should be festooned everywhere and selling official merchandise. At one airport, there are a few measly key rings and bookmarkers. It is ridiculous!!!!.I know we are not a show off nation but come on Britain, liven up!!!…………. Interestingly, I found ASDA, (owned by WAL*MART) had much more merchandise, and was kitted out lots better than any British supermarket……

  4. ~ funny thing illgner when the footie comes on and some big team is playing you buy absolutly anything!!!!
I can honestly say I don’t really remember the build up to the Jubilee, only the fact we would be getting a day off……it seemed to happen all of a sudden and then I got right into it!!!
Lucky you living close by the Olympic Village!!!…..and yes it should be absolutly heaving with merchandise!!!

  5. The footie…hmmm. I hate to say it Debz, but I don’t think it will be long until our days in the tournament are over and all the merchandise will be in the bargain bin.!!

  6. I watched the concert on TV too debz and I so wished I was there – what a spectacular event. Perhaps the Olympics have taken second place to the Jubilee Celebrations and probably will get up and running now that that is over xoxox

  7. Yes i agree with you forever. Now the Golden Jubilee is over ( well, neally!!) It will be the Olympics all the way now. I am sure the press coverage will be just as good for those who cant get there in person. I am soooo looking forward to another great event and hope GB will do well in them. The security will be massive as it was for the Queen but i pray the games will go off with out a hitch and with out incident of any sort. x 🙂

  8. Debz?. Looks like we will be watching the games on tv!. hope my telly doesnt break down..its been on for 3 days..Morning..Noon..and Night!..i am not a great telly fan but what can a gal do when shes a Royal Watcher!!! lol. x 🙂

  9. Have to be honest here….the Olympics is a nightmare for us Londoners who have to travel…It is bad enough already but working near the Olympic Village I think I will pitch a tent. Mind you with the rain we are having, I will probably end up floating down the Thames!
