Stress Some Words from Mayo Clinic

Stress Some Words from Mayo Clinic

I was just studying about irregular heart beat and I came across information to help manage stress because stress “aggravates the heart rhythm”. Stress aggravates your health in all kinds of ways. Stress can be pounding your fists and blowing your stack, but stress can be much more insidious.

I was trying to make a decision about what to do with a property, and I broke out in shingles which are aggravated by stress. That is an insidious type of stress. You think you are ok, and then the migraine hits or you have an asthma attack, or you break out in shingles. Most all of us know that the stomach can be the first sign of too much stress. There are many causes of stress and there are many physiological responses to stress.
Low spirits is one of the most pervasive and maybe most ignored symptom of stress.
We all need to take stress more seriously.
Here are the words from Mayo Clinic, the best hospital in the United States and Maybe the World.:
Manage your stress

Finding ways to manage your stress may help improve your health and manage your condition.
Some stress management ideas include:
Meditation
Yoga
Relaxation techniques
Support from family and friends
Regular physical activity
A healthy diet
A positive attitude
Tobacco-free living
If these stress management techniques aren’t helping, talk to your doctor.
Support from family and friends may be the best. If you don’t have support, find some. This site is better is pretty amazing. You do have to share a problem though and not be too proud to do it, or blow your image of having NO PROBs.
I hope this will be just a start in understanding your stress and managing it.

  1. You never miss Rose – Never. Only reason I watch blogs.
I think you have it in one here. Of course stress is precourser to illness and eventual death. One just has to have the knack of dropping it – few do. Thanks

  2. You and me Rose, we both come from different walks of life. This fact makes your blogs fascinating for me to read. Your lines are not written for being read like an article in a yellow press, no they require a lot of thinking.
That’s why I like reading them and commenting them when I think one or another aspect has not been touched by you.

But I also think your blogs are sometimes not written for a wide audience, no I far more believe you are searching for inspiring answers of a specific group of persons. And that is good cos it helps you to inprove your knowledge and sharpens your view on the topic discussed.

Another very good blog of yours Rose I have to admit.

  3. Michael, You are right about a lot of what you say, but I hope I write for a wide audience, but some who need the information most may not want to hear it or can not value it. I do like to learn more and I think all have had experience worth sharing and it would help me and others to make comments. Blog writing is not an intellectual exercise for me. It is writing to exchange information.

  4. Hi Bloom , yes you have a way of explanations that truly inspire to reach our health potential , a wonderfull asset Bloom…
I too suffer from Atrial Fibleration , and you are so right , If I get upset or anxious about anything too much, my A.F. kicks in , however sometimes it is clinical as in my case, and I have learned with assistance from my health workers that I can control my stress and anxiety with breathing correctly and taking time out to meditate for half an hour.
In my case my A.F. is atributed to the electrical sparks to missfire to each other in the actual heart muscle , so do have all the tests required to assess this condition , also stress over long periods of time can bring this condition on , and it also happens to elite atheletes who have exersized too long and hard … so Bloom you hit the nail on the head for all those that suffer from this debilating condition …..

  5. yachty, I walked most of the Day, yesterday. Saturday. I walked over our bridge across a large river into another state. It is a wonderful place to walk with inclines up and down. Today my calves are sore, but it must be building muscle. I want to do it often. I hope to see the sunrise soon and I also hope to see a sunset.
