Special Help, Find the Good

Special Help, Find the Good

I read a special quote this morning and too good not to share. ” LOOK for the GOOD in OTHERS and you will find the GOOD in YOURSELF. THINK about it. Please don’t ignore it. You may be amazed at how well it works.

What more do I need to say? I think it works in direct proportion to the amount you do. People who are hard to like, really do not like themselves. As you learn to accept others, you are able to accept yourself, while still knowing that improving your faults, makes it easier for others to like and love you. IT REALLY WORKS.

Are you convinced? No one is perfect, so we are all in the process of looking for the good in others, and finding it in ourselves while stumbling around in the debris of life, or we are just creating more bad stuff.

  1. Not everyone will always like everyone else, some people are bitter and have a grudge against the world, for whatever reason….. who knows…….but no matter how you try to be friendly they just don’t get it…….. learn to like yourself first, know your faults and deal with them,………have to get happy with yourself, and then you will feel more sociable towards others, try to be courteous, polite and smiley around people, show compassion when needed, never know it could rub off on the grumpy one’s ….

  2. You can see the good in others, and the down right evil, jeleous, etc in others, i dont feel i need to look for the good in others,to see the good in myself,i know the good in myself!!,i also know the bad in me,none of us are perfect, and quite honestly i dont want to be perfect.

    1. Star, how on earth can you see good in others, when their aint none,…john bloggs murdered!!,a woman, where is the good in him,?,my neighbour has just called me an f….. old tart, where is the good in him,may be im blinded and need to see the light, sorry Rose, but i really dont get this.

      1. Didn’t mean that Flower…meant its a good thing to be perfect…lol…..your so right Flower, not wasting my precious time seeking out the good in people….if its there then you shouldn’t have to be digging for it….nooooo

  3. Let me rephrase what i have just said ,im not saying that all people are bad, what im trying to say is,why on earth would i want to look for the good in others,to see the good in myself, and i dont need to accept others to acceppt myself,it might work for you,Rose, but it certinky wouldn’t work for me,..interesting blig though.

    1. Thank you flowersun. If I could guarantee you more happiness would you try it?
Anger with other people is mental garbage that suffocates us, but we don’t know how to get rid of it. In accepting others we open a flood gate for healing.

  4. I worked with a lady who was hard to get along with and one day my boss told me to ask her for help as all she needed was to feel wanted, it worked and we started to get along very well, so now if I find someone hard to deal with, I try to look for their good side. it does work

  5. Yes powder it does work .looking for good in others no matter how bad you think they are ,shows a better side of you as well .You might have to spend a little more time talking to the person finding out reason they act the way they do,but in the end it’s mostly worth it.

  6. Rose, iff you could guarantee me happiness? ????,what on earth is that about?..i am extremely “happy”!!!,my spiritual growth, comes from my heart, not my head,i have learnt, understanding, compassion, etc, and continue to do so,i disagree with your blog,….i dont have to look at the good in people,to see the good in myself,..life is a journey, and each and every one of us,experience our own journey, its what you learn on the way,i have learnt a lot in my life, and one is to accept people for who they are,and not what they are, everyone has somthing to bring to the table, and may i just say,you do not know where i am coming from, because you arent me!,..i also have been blessed, with happiness, peace and above all,LOVE! in my life,..

  7. When you see yourself, through the eyes of others,Rose, you see yourself differently, can you expand on that,…..i cant imagine me,seeing myself differently, through the eyes of others,…the only eye i can see,is mine, and i rely on that eye of mine,to keep me on the straight and narrow.and the other important part of me,is my heart!,….

  8. LOOK for the GOOD in OTHERS and you will find the GOOD in YOURSELF?

I don’t agree with that because we are all individuals with our own interests. The implementation of them holds the first place in our life.

That mantra suits the monks in a convent and suits the Zen Buddhism.
