Does anyone wear silk underskirts (aka half slips) still? I do, always wearing one under my dresses and skirts. I have about 20 underskirts, all halfs in different lengths and colours with lace hems. A real shame they aren’t popular today, They are lovely to wear. I have a few on in my main profile pic as well.

I wish more women would wear silk underskirts like you
Hi Silky Helen, yes like you l like underslips. Have several including some l’ve made with lace trims in very fine cotton like old fashioned petticoats. Slim fits, full skirts, full length and half slips. Especially like them under knitted dresses.
Takes me back a year or two now! Not that I personally wore them but my dear wife was a fan ,of silk much to my liking?
I wear a half slip, or petticoat when I wear a dress or skirt if they don’t half a built in lining. I do not wear skirts or dresses very often, but I plan to wear them more often as I live closer to the city. I like to wear long skirts in hot weather.

I would love to wear silk underskirts. Unfortunately though, being a man doesn’t really afford me much opportunity to do so. Oh, I’ve tried them before but they just tend to bunch up so much beneath my jeans. That just isn’t comfortable at all.
Set a trend if you really like them. Perhaps get silk sewn to the inside if your trousers

Hi everyone. Thanks for the comments. I often wear a silk half slip without a skirt around the house, and sometimes wear one as a skirt too.
