Sigh ….

You know I love to see families enjoying their children, grandchildren and grandparents…I have been very very self absorbed since the end of August when my son came to visit after 5 years of not seeing him..he witnessed 2 family members passing away, a wedding and changes amongst his family whilst over here…how my parents were 5 years older, his nephews were not little boys but young men……he was able to talk to his Uncle as a friend now that he to is a young man…
Now as I am known as chatty and enjoy talking my son who somewhat takes after me met by chance Lance Haggith………
Bedford basketball coach Lance Haggith has been named the BBC Sports Unsung Hero for 2010 at the Sports Personality of the Year show in Birmingham. He coaches at all levels including disabled, and disadvantaged children also including X offenders and X servicemen to help make sport accessible to all regardless of ability, disability or background. He is the founder of Sports Traider which helps youngsters engage in sport through recycling unwanted sportswear and equipment……
Lance took my son under his wing and my son whilst using his opportunity over here to apply to Univercitys, My son worked voulantary for the project which Lance started up, lance saw the passion my son had for this project and my son was invited to London to attend a meetiing with the company Director from UnLtd…..my son had no idea that the input he was giving would be noted and taken on board…
My son has returned today to the USA, I had a call from Lance and withiin the next few months he will be asking my son to come on board to be a representitive working within the USA and the UK….now I will wait and see and hope and pray that his visit with some upsetting memories has opened up oppurtunities of which will enable me his Mother enjoy my son with much more frequent visits….time will tell…
Today I feel sad but I am also hopefull that maybe one day I have an am able to enjoy my family as a complete family..

I thank all of yo who have sent me emails please please excuse my lax nature in not replying to some of them..I have been enjoying my past few weeks as a Mom again..
